Distraction Management: Reclaim Your Attention

We live in a world constantly competing for our attention—but distraction does not begin with the phone, the notification, or the screen. It often begins much deeper, within patterns of thought, emotion, desire, habit, and automatic reaction. Distraction Management: Reclaim Your Attention is a five-week experiential course exploring the What, Why, How, When, and Where of distraction through modern psychology, contemplative wisdom, meditation, and practical daily-life tools. Through guided practices and personal observation, you will learn to recognize what pulls your attention, understand the needs and emotions beneath distraction, interrupt habitual distraction loops, identify the times and conditions when your attention is most vulnerable, and create inner and outer environments that support greater focus. The goal is not to force the mind to never wander, but to cultivate the awareness to notice sooner, the steadiness to pause, and the freedom to consciously choose where your attention goes.
